stroller rage!
everyone’s heard of road rage, but are you familiar with ’stroller rage?’ if you don’t know the term, you may know the feeling. it’s when you’re walking down an aisle or the boardwalk or wherever, and you feel you have the right of way (for whatever reason - i’ll explain our reason in a sec.) but the people who are walking toward you don’t necessarily share the same view. they think they have right of way.
this morning, we walked on the boardwalk because we remembered that a nearby boardwalk had a center strip of boards that were aligned in such a way so charlie’s head wouldn’t bounce everywhere while we walked (remember the horizontal board problem from this post.)
so we’re walking down the middle section and some people see us and get out of the way. however, there were 1 or 2 people who felt they had right of way, too! of course they didn’t, they just thought they did. anyway, we stood our ground and they moved, slightly, at the last second.
my advice to fellow stroller pushers - stand your ground! do not give the center boards away when they are rightfully yours. and my advice to anyone walking toward a stroller pushing couple - move aside and let them through. you don’t want to become a victim of stroller rage.
